My weekend of bed rest has fallen flat and I have done almost nothing that resembled bed rest. Not to mention I have an informational speech due tomorrow on SIDS. I chose a topic that I feel too often goes unspoken because no one wants to discuss the possibility of a child dying.
My research has been filled with bountiful amounts of facts and misconceptions along with statistics and true life stories. But the saddest part is that this silent disease is something that is a reality for over 2,500 families a year.
Its not difficult for me to give this speech or to prepare for it. Because I am passionate about making more people aware of this issue. It is difficult however to try to give a face to so many families who suffer.
So while I am sick and supposed to be resting I will be giving a very passionately informative speech on this horrible topic. Wish me luck tomorrow y'all. Lord knows I'll need it.
